The “Orange Blast” Open

NSSA Skeet   -   August 20 & 21, 2005

Uxbridge Shooting Sports

Uxbridge, Canada

The first NSSA registered skeet shoot held at the club in a number of years and the Ontario shooting community came out in force to support the shoot. The sold out shoot ran smoothly with plenty of volunteers on hand. Breakfast and lunch was served each day, and a cook-your-own steak/chicken BBQ was held Saturday evening. Shooters saw a brief shower on Sunday and the wind kicking up for the .410 event.

My wife and I came up from New York to attend the shoot and except for a check of papers and a firearm serial number check going into Canada, we experienced no delays when crossing the border. Major motel chains are located along the 401, but we stayed at the Stouffville Inn, located 15 minutes from the club.  I also took a few photos of the 5-Stand and Sporting Clays operation for those who may be interested and provided a link below.
