Deer Creek Sporting Clays held its inaugural
NSCA Registered Shoot on June 12, 2005 under somewhat trying
conditions.
Tropical storm Arlene did her best to dampen the shooters spirits, but to no avail.
The rains held off Sunday and the 40+ shooter who braved the weather were treated to a splendid mix of targets over 12 “swamp thing” like stations. A lunch of roasted chicken, potatoes, vegetables, salad and desert was served to the contestants.
This is Roger and Cathy Gascoigne’s first NSCA registered shoot at the Deer Creek facility. They began operating the facility (formerly called Pine Creek) in the middle of March 2005, but are no strangers to the sport. They have over 40 years experience in shooting sporting clays all over the US and in Europe.
One thing you will notice about the revamped facility, there are new traps everywhere
