Bull's Eye Sporting Clays Center

Paying a Visit

We paid a visit to Bull's Eye Sporting Center at 232 George Street in Orange, Vermont which is near the Barre-Montpelier area of Vermont last Friday to do some sporting clays shooting.  Most of the course was back in the woods and it was not a long walk around, we shot 14 stations, most targets were close and a skeet choke or IC choke was all that was required.  It would also be a nice course for small gauge.

There are some restrictions when you shoot this club, only 2 3/4 dram loads are permitted, shot no larger than 7 1/2 and you have to sign a waiver to that effect.  Also, because of local regulations the windows on the stands are limited to 30 degrees across, so it does not give you too much area in which to swing the shotgun.  Because of the way the targets are presented, however, this was not much of a problem and we all had a good time there.

The hours of operation are every Friday from 10am-630pm, Saturday 10am-5pm, Wednesday 2pm-5pm, and every other Thursday 10am-630pm.  It is advisable to call first to schedule a start time.

Check them out if you get a chance.
