Gordon Adams wins the 52nd Vermont State Shoot

Underhill Rod and Gun Club shooter Gordon Adams won this year’s Vermont State Shoot. Perfect runs in the 12 and 28 gauge helped Adams secure the HOA Championship with an HOA score of 388.Vermont shooters Lanny Benoit (VT RU) and Larry Litke (VT 3rd) also posted perfect scores in the 12 Gauge Event which helped them secure VT awards for their HOA performance. NH Shooter Steve Livingston won HOA RU in the open event.
The Junior and Collegiate Championship was held on Friday night. The Junior awards went to Joey Faryniarz (CH), Michael Bouffard (RU) and Michael Sheltra (3rd). The Junior awards went to Amnada Preston (CH) and Brandon Willey (RU).
The Saturday night banquet consisted of a great dinner, the VT State Skeet Shooting Association annual meeting and a fund raising raffle that included Lonesome Charlie leather goods and a vintage shotgun donated by VSSA sponsor Wayne Brown. The shoot included 28 shooters and was the best attended State Shoot in several years. Competitive skeet shooting is on the rise in Vermont and we invite everyone to attend an upcoming shoot at the Underhill Rod and Gun Club.
