Derby Fish and Game Club
Derby Vermont
The Ben Heath Memorial is the club's most popular Trapshoot. There is a rotating trophy which is very special to the local shooters. This year we were lucky to have a great day for the shoot and a good group of shooters to enjoy it with! Nancy Green and Jessica Judd served up a great lunch of Hot Dogs, Hamburgers and Corn on the Cobb.
This years shoot was won by Lee Somers with a score of 96 x 100 targets. Following him, and tied for 2nd place were Roger Ashman and Kyle Aldrich (16 years old) with 94 x 100 each. Fourth place went to another 16 year old, Sheldon Leland with 92 x 100.
Roger and Kyle had to shoot 75 targets to settle the tie with Roger taking second in the end. Both shooters were in top form shooting their first 25 targets straight in the shootoff. Both Roger and Kyle shot 50 straight targets at the shoot, congratulations to them both!!
The junior trophy went to George Leland with the score of 80 x 100.
Also shooting 25 straight at the shoot was last year's winner, Don Gagnon and this year's winner Lee Somers.
Lee generously donated his $50 prize to the club, thanks Lee.
