Le Printemps / The Spring Sporting Clays

A  twelve station 100 target shoot using A & B stands.  Targets were White Fliers with a combination of orange and green targets used throughout.

Rain, Rain, & more Rain!  A major weather system started moving through the area on Saturday afternoon and brought downpours, windy conditions and below average temperatures that lasted well into late Sunday afternoon.

Rain gear, boots, and rain spotted shooting glasses pretty much summed up the day.

A hard core group of shooters took to the course while several others decided to stay dry an warm themselves by the fire.

The wiser group may have been those who chose to stay at the clubhouse, but those why went out had an enjoyable time in very trying conditions.  It's not often you get to see your pattern cutting though the rain... I also discovered that my shooting pouch did not have a drain hole : (

The top shooters did not let the weather bother them and Elie Zarife scored an  84 for top honors, followed by Tony Olivieri (78), Gilles Bolduc (77), Anne Labrecque (75), & Leo Laplante (75).

The trap boys did an excellent job under trying conditions. Once again the staff working the club kitchen outdid themselves and hot apple pie with a scope of ice cream on top was the dessert of the day.

The clubs next Sporting Clays shoot will be held on May 13 & 14.
