Hats' Off!           Hats' Off!           Hats' Off

The 2005 World Police & Fire Games have concluded with the Montreal Skeet Club hosting the clay target portion of the games; sporting clays, skeet, and trap.  The club not only represented Quebec, but all of Canada.

I spent the better part of last Tuesday at the club for the Sporting Clays event and came away very impressed.

Shooting started early in the day and on TIME!!!

A shuttle vehicle was provided to move shooters around the course and water was available at each station.

The trap boys and refs were knowledgeable and very professional.

The targets were fair and hittable.

A minimum of two people were always manning the registration desk, four ladies working the kitchen (one who spoke excellent english), and the cash register for the kitchen had been relocated to the hallway to speed the payment of purchased meals.

Posted scores were constantly being updated.

A large wedding tent and beer tent had been setup on the grounds, with the wedding tent one of the coolest places to be on such a warm day, as a nice breeze blew through it.

Flags were everywhere and the club looked great.

The skeet fields, trap fields, and the Olympic Bunker were open for practice and seening much use.

The shoot-offs at the end of the day ran smoothly.

The owner, the staff, and the volunteers did more then outstanding!

A job well done..........
