As a result of complications from a blood clot, Montreal clay target shooter Bryce Verrall lost his left leg.  He also had to have an aneurysm in his abdomen surgically repaired.

The doctors indicate that Bryce will be in the hospital for an extended period.

His daughter Tracy, conveyed she was going to purchase a laptop for Bryce, with DVD player, for his use at the hospital.  She wanted her dad to stay in contact with his friends via e-mail, and to also be able to play DVD games or watch the occasional movie.

As a way for the shooting community to give something back to Bryce, who attends many shoots in New York, Vermont, Ontario, and Quebec and who also submitted many shoot photographs to the site for posting, the Lost Target put out a call for donations to assist with the purchase.

In addition to donations made directly to the family by individuals, visitors to the Lost Target web site generously contributed $920 (US) / $1,089 (Canadian).

A Toshiba Satellite 40 laptop was purchased and presented to Bryce at the hospital by his daughter Tracy on behalf of his friends, family, and the shooting community.

Bryce is on-line from his hospital bed and surfs the net daily.   In the months ahead and after a period of rehabilitation, Bryce plans on returning to shooting.
